When it comes to a haircut, a beard trim (even though I can’t grow a beard), there’s one place I always recommend. It’s De’Ville’s Barber Shop and Shaving Parlor at 2243 S. Meridian.

I’ve been going to them since they were close to downtown and then at their Douglas and Meridian location.

The locally owned shop offers barbering services from haircuts, beard trims, and straight razor shaves. They do designs, razor fades, hard parts, crew cuts, fades, tapers, simple haircuts, and even some good laughs if you want to have that classic barbershop vibe.

Most services such as a simple haircut are $20.

Before I started going to De’Ville’s over ten years ago, I bounced around from many places. I wish I would have known about De’Ville’s back then… only if there were other Wichita bloggers 15-20 years ago that gave tips like this.

Aside from being a traditional barbershop, they’ve been known to give back a ton to the community. Whether it’s toy drives or even discounted haircuts to veterans on Veterans Day, they have fully given back to the community that’s helped make De’Ville’s what it is today.

With four licensed barbers on hand, they do not take any appointments. It’s all walk-ins.

If you have to wait, don’t fret. There are plenty of free beverages on hand to partake in to help make the time go by.

De’Ville’s is closed on Sunday and Monday, but is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
